Subject: Cinnabar Hills Tournament Recap and Results

What a Father's Day it was!!

Last Sunday 48 players from MVGC and SYGC participated in the June tournament at Cinnabar Hills, one
of the premier golf course in the South Bay. As you all know by now, 28 of us were involved in the
F-Cup competition between the golf clubs and MVGC won!

The competition could not be any closer. The entire match was down to the last putt from the last
group, between the two captains - Daniel and Roger. The pressure could not be any greater since both
of them knew what was at stake. It turned out Roger missed his putt and Daniel made his. It was that
close. We could not have scripted it any better. Too bad Ken Venturi and Johnny Miller were not there
to witness this great match.

Though the matches were tight and the players were playing under tremendous pressure, both clubs
displayed enormous sportsmanship and I can safely say that all players enjoyed the competition very
much. It was a friendly competition and needless to say, we made a lot of friends out there Sunday.

F-Cup aside, we have other club members participated in the regular tournament and that included new
member (Danny Lee) and guest (Lily Chang). The weather was nice but not too hot, but pace is a bit
slow since every shot and putt counts. It was great for the early groups, who got to finish early,
retreated to the club house for food and drink, and witnessed the F-Cup unfolded.
