Dear members,
It was a great day on Sunday to begin our 2006
tournaments. We had a total of 27 players showing up;
there are new and old members, especially some friends
like Wang-Long and Yu Chang from China joining us as a
surprise. Our current best player MingWei is moving to
China, and he managed to get an extra tee-time to say
good-bye to us, we wish him and others in China the
best!
We had a lot of prizes, some of you left early; please
remind me or future tournament hosts to give them to
you.

rescue or long iron to hit it as close),
#8 Yu Chang(did you 3-putt within 2 feet?),
#13 Tony Huang(I was there, he beated Brian by 1
foot).

women: Debrah(Wang Long recruited a shotgun).

- gross: Minwei 78 (-2), no surprise here. He'll be
missed, best wishes for him moving to China.
- net 1: Conrad 83 (-2), Got 2 OBs.
- net 2: Wen Lee 86 (0), played first two holes with
17 shots(+8), but finished the back 9 with 30+.
- net 3: Carol Lin 87 (0), easy game, she can
out-drive us easily from lady's tee.
** notables: all of the flight 1 winners shot net 0 or
better, this shows the depth of the SYGC. Tony Huang
and myself each has 2 birdies with (+1) did not help.

- gross: Ivy Ho 90 (-1), our first gross winner for
flight 2, congrats!
- net 1: Frank Fuh 98 (-6), great improvement.
- net 2: Frank Hsu 90 (0), as good as gross winner.
- net 3: Ivan Ho 91 (0), as good as Ivy, just one shot
behind :( .
** notables: flight 2 is more competitive in terms of
people improving faster than ever, so watch out the
new comers!

- gross 1: Yi Ma 84, he should have good index coming
soon.
** notables: gross 2 is Lu Qin (86), he doesn't play
enough to get index yet.

Eric Hu, a new member who cut his finger the night
before, finished the round with pain (and nasty blood
on the clubs) and pride, he headed to ER the night,
who was a contender in Flight 3 with 3 straight pars,
I gave him my personal prize.
