2004 F-Cup Point System Definition

Dear SYGC members,

The club is proud to announce a point system, similar to Ryder Cup
in terms of player selection for the next Friendship Cup, or similar competition
later on if there is any.

The goal of the point system is to provide an objective and scientific method for
selecting the best players representing SYGC for the F-Cup competition.

The essence of the criteria, along with the related points, are described as below:

1. To boost participation on our monthly club tournament.

- 20 points will be given to every members attending the monthly tournament

2. To intensify competition of the monthly tournament, and reward excellence on
competition

- 50 points for net champion (regardless of tiers)
- 30 points for net 2nd
- 20 points for net 3rd

* Gross champion will not be given the points, but can participate in net calculation

* Close Tournaments will be given double points.

3. To raise the level of golf skills, and encourage handicap improvement

- Low index points = 5 *(40 - NCGA handicap) (The month before F-Cup.)
- Index Improvement points = 10 * (Index Difference between the last F-Cup month and
and the month F-Cup team is selected.)

* This will only be added once per selection period.

4. 12 players will be chosen based on the point standing, with 6 wild cards reserved
for team captain.

The point system will started right after F-Cup competition of the year, and  The point statistics
standing will be posted on SYGC website, updated constantly along with your
handicap. The point standing will be reset annually.

We hope with this it'll make the tournament more fun and intense. Let's all get into the
range and get on the tee boxes of our tournaments.

Regards,
SYGC Staff
